About Lamin Ceesay

I am Lamin Ceesay, born on 25 August 1990 in Basse Dampha Kunda, Upper River Region, The Gambia.

Today, I live in Milan, Italy, with my wife and son, happily married and building a life rooted in love, creativity, and cultural connection.

A Gambian writer, storyteller, and creative mind, I am passionate about exploring identity, migration, and African culture. My writing reflects both personal journeys and the broader narratives of Africa and its people.

Outside of writing, I find joy in trekking and trailing through mountains, cooking, and embracing technology.

Reading, meditation for mindfulness, and enjoying good company are essential parts of my daily life. These creative activities inspire my words and help me see the world with fresh perspectives.
